L’umidità, l’aria e il tetto di Wimbledon

Andy Murray, dopo la lunga e epica (come definita dal Times) battaglia sul campo centrale contro lo svizzero Wrawrinka, con il tetto chiuso e le luci per uno strano indoor sul centrale di Wimbledon, che rimarrà nella memoria come l’inizio ufficiale di una nuova era di tennis sui prati londinesi,  non è sembrato molto soddisfatto del sistema di deumidificazione dell’impianto, e il messaggio sembra chiaro.

But he was not happy in the immediate aftermath of success. “We were sending for towels from the locker rooms because we were sweating so much,” Murray said. “My hands were drenched as though I had been in the bath. I struggled to serve because the ball wasn’t leaving the racket very quickly. After my first service game, I thought they had turned the lights up but the umpire said they hadn’t.”
